Canon MEAP License Creation

Retrieving Application and PaperCut MF MEAP​

Ensure that the supported Canon devices on the network are compatible with PaperCut’s embedded software solution PaperCut MF – Canon (MEAP): (Different Meap and Jar Files needed for each device generation)

  •  1st generation device with 2nd gen firmware – ONLY compatible with the PaperCut MF embedded application PaperCut  LAN:
  • 2nd generation device – ONLY compatible with the PaperCut MF embedded application PaperCut
  • 3rd generation device – Recommendation:▪ the PaperCut MF embedded application PaperCut Gen3+ 
 
On your PaperCut MF Application Server, navigate to the following location: [PaperCut MF Install Location]\providers\hardware\canon\Americas

You will need the LAN code and jar file for the appropriate version for your machine.

Resellers use the MEAP license generator:

https://asd-pub-an18.srv.ygles.com/web/licenses to generate the MEAP licenses for the specific device (LAN code + serial number). Note that  there are two applications and meap licenses to fully setup Hive on a Canon.

Retrieving Application and PaperCut Hive MEAP

1. PaperCut Hive Admin Interface (only customers or resellers with Hive subscription have access to this)

2. Select the Canon device. A window on the left will slide out.

3. Select Apps. If the customer/reseller has an entitlement for a Canon app, then the window changes and instructions to download the app and install are shown.

4. The downloaded folder contains the PaperCut Hive MEAP apps for Canon (.jar files) and the LAN codes in .txt files.
