ACDI Energy Services Joins EV Celebration in Northwest Arkansas

As manufacturers and drivers alike continue a coordinated push toward clean and sustainable energy options, the electric vehicle revolution was on full display during National Drive Electric Week in Northwest Arkansas. National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In the midst of the celebration, the ACDI Energy Services team was proud to support and attend this year’s Drive Electric NWA event held recently at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers. Featuring representatives from area electric companies, auto dealerships, and EV drivers from across the region, it was the ideal setting to connect and engage with those who share our vision for a more sustainable future.

Embracing the EV Revolution in the Natural State

While EV adoption in Arkansas doesn’t yet rival that in states such as California, Oregon, and Washington, the number of drivers making the transition is on the rise, particularly in the northwest region of the state. Electric vehicles accounted for 2.8 percent of monthly new-vehicle registrations in Northwest Arkansas in January, more than double the percentage from the same month last year. According to the Northwest Arkansas Council, host of this year’s second annual Drive Electric NWA event, there are currently more than 2,000 all-electric cars and trucks in Benton and Washington counties.

The growing enthusiasm for the EV revolution was impossible to ignore as more than 300 people made their way to the event, despite the Arkansas Razorbacks facing off against Texas A&M at the same time (we won’t mention the final score of that game). Our team relished the opportunity to have thoughtful discussions with current and prospective EV drivers and those interested in learning more about ACDI Energy Services and our efforts to make electrification accessible to everyone. From the vast number of EV drivers in attendance to the auto dealers showcasing electric models from Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet, Rivian, and Volkswagen, the message was loud and clear: EV interest in Arkansas is real and growing throughout the state.
