Sustainability & Technology on Full Display at EV Charging Summit & Expo

Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers wasn’t the only notable event hosted by Las Vegas in the first quarter of 2024. Sin City was also home to the EV Charging Summit & Expo held recently at the world famous Mirage Hotel & Casino. As the must-attend event for all things EV charging, the summit showcased real solutions, cost savings, and technological advances to infrastructure for all commercial and government organizations. Featuring educational sessions focused on financing, infrastructure, operability, and ROI for EV charging, the ACDI Energy Services team had the pleasure of attending the EV Charging Summit & Expo alongside representatives from across our authorized reseller network.

Momentum Builds in Growing EV Charging Space

With thousands of people from around the world in the building, the EV Charging Summit & Expo proved to be a location where innovative professionals meet and discuss the future of electric vehicle charging. Charging station manufacturers, non-profit organizations, software developers, and consultants were just some of the organizations represented during the three-day event, highlighting the growing number of professionals committed to providing solutions for the next generation of infrastructure. Andrew Cornelia, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging North America, delivered the opening keynote address with a call to action to challenge attendees to think differently about EV charging.

“While the next era of charging needs more infrastructure, more quantity, and more construction, it will be propelled by quality and by experience,” said Cornelia. “If we build valuable experiences around charging – experiences that match the dwell time considerations of provided amenities or provide new amenities to match the dwell time itself – charging stops mattering and fades into the background. What you do while you charge then moves into the focus.”

According to Grand View Research, the EV charging infrastructure market will be worth more than $217 billion by 2030. Reinforcing our mission to build, implement, and maintain the charging station infrastructure in North America, the summit generated a new level of enthusiasm for the ACDI Energy Services authorized reseller network with representatives from All Copy Products, Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises, Document Strategies Inc., Energy Options, Pacific Office Automation, and StritchCo EVS in attendance.

Showcasing the Future of Transportation Infrastructure

Featuring 200 exhibitors and more than 5,000 attendees from across the global EV charging landscape, the electrification of transportation advances at the EV Charging Summit & Expo. Notable software solutions in attendance included Stable Auto, Sitetracker, and Monterra, while electric vehicle behemoth Tesla also had representatives on-site at the event. It was an exciting opportunity to connect and engage with those who are powering the future of transportation infrastructure.

For the ACDI Energy Services team and our authorized resellers, the exhibitor floor also provided a setting for in-depth discussion with OEM partners Autel Energy and Lincoln Electric. As one of the most recognizable brands in the industry, Autel Energy was touting its full line of leading Level 2 and Level 3 EV charging stations, while Lincoln Electric continued to make itself known as an emerging titan with its rugged and durable DC Fast charger. With their history of innovation and technological advancement, Autel Energy and Lincoln Electric are primed to be leaders in the EV charging space for the foreseeable future.

Following an eventful week in Las Vegas, our team was armed with an array of valuable new connections, ideas, and enthusiasm for the ACDI Energy Services mission. A world filled with electric vehicles is on the horizon, and now is the time to prepare for the transition. Since its inception, ACDI Energy Services has recognized the benefits of electric vehicles and the infrastructure required to make widespread adoption possible.
