ACDI Energy Services Spotlights EV Revolution in Central Arkansas

As both manufacturers and drivers unite in advancing clean and sustainable energy solutions, the electric vehicle movement took center stage during National Drive Electric Week in Central Arkansas. National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In the midst of this year’s celebration, the ACDI Energy Services team was proud to host our first National Drive Electric Week event at ACDI headquarters in Benton, Arkansas. Featuring representatives from EV manufacturers, area electric companies, auto dealerships, and EV enthusiasts from across the region, it was the ideal setting to connect and engage with those who share our vision for a more sustainable future.

Embracing the EV Revolution in the Natural State

Although EV adoption in Arkansas hasn’t yet rivaled states such as California, Oregon, and Washington, the number of drivers making the transition is on the rise. Through the first half of 2024, the number of electric vehicles registered in the state was up 69 percent from last year, while hybrid-electric vehicle registrations rose by nearly 30 percent. According to Scott Hardin of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, the state agency had registered 6,895 electric and 41,652 hybrid vehicles as of June 30.

The growing enthusiasm for the EV revolution was impossible to ignore as representatives from several prominent groups made their way to the ACDI Energy Services National Drive Electric Week event, including Envirotech Vehicles and Executive Vice President Sue Emry with their all-electric right-hand drive van and school bus, Everett Automotive Group with a variety of vehicles available at its dealerships, the Tesla Owners Club of Arkansas, and the EV Geek Podcast. Also in attendance was Shawne Vaden, Director of EVSE and EVCS Installations for Spatco Energy Solutions, a single-source supplier of innovative liquid handling equipment and service for petroleum, industrial, diesel exhaust fluid, and electric vehicles. Our team relished the opportunity to connect and engage with those that are investing in the next generation of transportation in Arkansas.
